A Day In the Life: Halloween

I hope you all had a safe and wonderful Halloween! Mine was so much fun and I hope yours was too!

My day started off heading in to work. You may not know this, but Jeff and I both work at the same place! We absolutely love it! Jeff is on the Fun Committee and they decided to have the office dress up for Halloween (how could we not!?) and we had a carnival theme!

As I am a Manager of one of the teams (I am one of four), we were each asked to host a carnival station. Then at the end, the Fun Committee had their own station where the winners from each station could participate.

For my station, I decided to do the Cotton Ball Challenge. If you haven't seen this, YouTube it! It's hilarious! Everyone thought it was going to be so easy, but it was flat out hilarious watching grown adults struggle so much!!

We also had a costume contest, which was a ton of fun! Lots of candy, pizza, and laughter to last all day! Some people even brought in their kiddos. They say you spend as much (if not more) time with the people you work with than your own family. In this case, I am super lucky Jeff and I work at the same place.

After work, we came home and played with our puppies and got ready for our Trick-or-Treat'ers. This was our first year in this home and neighborhood, so we didn't know what to expect. We overshot the candy by far! Side note: Our neighbor was grilling hot dogs and handing them out....I've never seen that before, have you? Aside from the typical candy, I've seen people doing apple cider and toothbrushes....but hot dogs?? That's a new one-but good for them!

Here are some photos from Halloween!!

Jeff was Green Arrow (Oliver Queen) and I was a Black Cat

Here are our pumpkins!

I went with the Cheshire Cat and Jeff decided to do a car/trailer. It was super cool because he carved the pumpkin so thin! Check out the amazing detail!

Look at all the details! My favorite is the curtains!

Here is my Cheshire Cat

Hope you enjoy!

Also, if you enjoyed this Black Cat look, let me know if you'd like to see me recreate it. I had fun using false lashes for the first time! I was going to just do a post on it, but thought it might be too late, as Halloween is over. Let me know your thoughts!

What fun things did you do for Halloween this year?

  1. We just stayed in and gave out sweets for the trick and treaters :)

  2. We also stayed in and wait for all the little cuties come knocking on our door. Little tyke is only 6 months old so we'll take him out next year! xx

    1. Oh how sweet! Did he get a little costume this year?

  3. sounds like so much fun and cute pictures. Mine was not that bad, but it actually started snowing for the first time this season so it was so cold outside, but i was forced to join my little nieces to make sure they are safe "trick or treating" but it was a short one because of the weather.

    1. That sounds like fun! We usually get snow on Halloween too, but this year was probably the warmest Halloween we've had!

  4. Love your look, we rented an apartment at the beach for the weekend and had a house party x x x

    1. Oh, I'm jealous! That sounds amazing! :)

  5. Love the costume! Your blog is super cute!
